Biography
Holly
Higbee-Jansen has worked in the design field for over 20 years and has
handled both residential and commercial properties primarily in
Southern California, with special projects that have taken her to
Aspen, Colorado; The Hamptons, Long Island; New York City, New York;
and Boston, Massachusetts.
Higbee-Jansen
Design is a full service design firm, specializing in creative drapery
and fabric treatments, custom furniture, custom upholstery and
coordination of color and texture. The mission of Higbee-Jansen Design
is to help clients create a beautiful home or office environment that
reflects their personality and lifestyle. Holly's primary focus is on
the personal interaction with her clients to be certain that their
needs are met, and that all projects come in correctly specified and in
a timely manner.
Holly is an
associate member of the Interior Design Society, and the past President
of the Conejo Association of Professional Interior Designers. Holly has
been involved in several designer showcase houses over the years. In
2003, Holly was the Design Coordinator for the Design House Chapter of
the New West Symphony, located in Camarillo, CA.. This house was a
magnificent 8,000 square foot home, tastefully designed in the Old
World Mediterranean Style.
Other design
houses Holly as participated in have raised money for such charities as
the Assistance League, People Helping People, the Wellness Community,
and Child Abuse Listening and Mediation. Holly has been featured in
Audio, Video Interiors, Design Times Magazine, Window Fashions
Magazine, the Los Angeles Daily News, the Los Angeles Times, and the
Ventura County Star, as well as featured recently in on two nationally
syndicated television shows, Designer's Challenge on Home and Garden
Television, and Alene's Creative Living on TNN.
Holly has a
degree in Interior and Environmental Design from University of
California at Santa Barbara, California and a Bachelor of Arts from
Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York.
